🇷🇴 Bucharest, Romania
Bucharest is a surprising capital, often called the "Little Paris of the Balkans" for its tree-lined boulevards and Belle Époque architecture. The controversial Palace of Parliament, the bohemian Floreasca neighbourhood and vibrant nightlife make it one of the most interesting destinations in Eastern Europe.
📅 Best time to visit
April–June and September–October
🌤 Climate
Continental climate with cold, snowy winters and hot, sometimes humid summers. Spring and autumn are the most pleasant seasons.
🏨 Where to stay
The Lipscani district (historic centre) and Dorobanți are the most sought-after areas. The centre offers excellent hotels at lower prices than Western Europe.
