🇦🇱 Tirana, Albania
Tirana is Albania's capital, a rapidly transforming city and one of the Balkans' most surprising destinations. The Naples flight takes around 1h 50min with Wizz Air and Ryanair (5 times/week). Skanderbeg Square, Bunkart museum, the Albanian Riviera and very competitive prices make it surprisingly interesting.
📅 Best time to visit
April–June and September–October are ideal: mild weather (18–26°C), fewer tourists and low prices. July–August is very hot (32–36°C) but ideal for the Albanian Riviera. Winter (December–February) is cool and rainy but prices are minimal.
🌤 Clima
Tirana has a continental Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers (July–August, 32–36°C) and cool, rainy winters (December–February, 5–12°C). The Albanian Riviera has a milder summer climate.
🏨 Where to stay
The Blloku (former communist nomenclature neighbourhood) is the nightlife and restaurant hub. The historic centre near Skanderbeg Square has the best boutique hotels. Sauk is the quieter residential hill.
